1. Production Machine Operator 

Maritime Labels & Packaging, Atlantic Canada’s premier digital printer of labels, shrink sleeves, and flexible packaging, is seeking a Production Machine Operator to join our finishing and converting team.

This role focuses on converting printed materials into high-quality finished products using modern, well-maintained equipment in a clean, food-safe manufacturing environment.

Position Details

  • Department: Finishing / Production
  • Hours: 30–40 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
  • Core Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Location: Milford Industrial Park, NS
  • Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Machine Operator will:

  • Safely operate converting equipment such as:
    • Die cutters
    • Slitter / rewinders
    • Laminators
    • Pouch-making equipment
    • Sheeters, seamers, and embellishment equipment
  • Set up and operate machinery using HMI control systems
  • Read and follow digital and paper job specifications and work orders
  • Monitor product quality throughout production runs
  • Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance
  • Handle materials and assist with movement of rolls and finished goods
  • Adhere to WHMIS while handling printing checmicals such as inks and cleaners
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
  • Work occasional overtime or adjusted shifts when production requires

What We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • Experience operating manufacturing or converting equipment (preferred)
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety
  • Comfort working with both metric and imperial measurements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to ~50 lbs safely
  • Basic computer skills (touchscreens, keyboarding, MacOS environment)
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a production environment

Training is provided for motivated candidates with the right attitude and aptitude.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $20.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level
  • Paid vacation and 11 paid holidays after probation
  • 3 paid sick/personal days per year

2. Customer Service Inside Sales Representative

We are seeking a Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative who enjoys working with clients, managing details, and contributing to long-term customer relationships while also supporting our brand presence through social media engagement.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Office Manager, this role is a key point of contact for our customers. You will manage quotes, orders, follow-ups, and customer communication, support inside sales activities, and assist with customer retention initiatives. You will also contribute to social media posts and engagement, helping reflect our company culture, capabilities, and values.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Inside Sales

  • Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, and in-person visits
  • Prepare and manage quotations, sales orders, and job details
  • Maintain accurate customer, order, and quotation data within internal MIS systems
  • Proactively follow up on quotes and repeat opportunities
  • Support customer retention through consistent communication and after-sale follow-up
  • Explain product options, pricing, processes, and benefits clearly and professionally
  • Address customer concerns and escalate issues when appropriate

Marketing & Social Media Support

  • Assist with preparing and scheduling social media posts
  • Engage with comments and messages in a professional brand voice
  • Coordinate with internal teams to highlight projects, milestones, and company updates
  • Support promotional initiatives and product awareness campaigns

General Duties

  • Assist with promotional materials and sales initiatives
  • Perform general office and administrative duties as required
  • Support continuous improvement in customer experience and workflow efficiency
  • Contribute to job schedule planning and efficiency

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
  • Experience in customer service, inside sales, or account support (B2B preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with numbers, measurements (metric & imperial), and specifications
  • Confident using computers and digital tools (MacOS experience an asset)
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Team-oriented with a proactive mindset
  • Social Media platform fluency to post value-driven content. 

Experience in printing, packaging, manufacturing, or marketing is considered an asset but not required. 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
  • Paid vacation plus 11 paid holidays per year
